I have not had a good day

I have not had a good day! To say the very least. First I start to prepare Lilith's lunch when she tells me she needs to go to the bathroom. (she does this by saying potty power and raising one of her hands, it is really cute). So I take her upstairs and she goes potty and I try to dump it in the big potty with a big flourish of, "Yeahs!" and "Bye Bye pee pee". When the toilet starts to back up. I get Lilith out of the bathroom thinking all of this potty training is going to be wasted as she will prob. be afraid of the toilet now. It stops over flowing and I decide to try to put her to sleep for a nap so I can clean it up. I manage to get my milk to let down in spite of the fact that I am totally upset. Lilith goes to sleep. I sneak out and try to plunge the toilet. It doesn't work so I remember seeing some Drano in the downstairs closet. I head down to get it and what do I find in the living room/ Not one but two leaks happening from the ceiling. One right over the sofa and the other one, while not hitting any furniture, is hitting the rug where our dumbest cat was sleeping. (he was still laying there looking confused while getting dripped on, I told you he is Dumb). I kept thinking that the toilet hadn't over flowed that much, right? So I get the mop bucket and shove the sofa out of the way and place it under leak number 1, I yell at the cat (someone felt sorry for me upstairs as Lilith slept through all of this) and shove her sled under leak number 2. I run up and turn the water off to the toilet even though it wasn't running anymore and call an emergency plumber. Leak number 1 has already filled the mop bucket and leak number 2 has made me have to empty the sled once already! They come out 1 hour later. The dripping had slowed by then and I had managed to mop up the water before Lilith woke up. You can see what is left of the ceiling from leak number 1 in the photos above. After the plumber left and had fixed the loose seal on the base of our toilet, I went upstairs to mop for real. I put the sofa covers in the laundry and washed and dried them and replaced them on the sofa and chair (luckily the sofa and chair weren't very wet at all). I place everything back in the bathroom. After I finished, I came down to find Lilith had taken the tray off of her booster chair and placed her bib on and sat on the sofa with some thin mint cookie on her tray. It was so cute I had to get some photos before I fed her, her long over due lunch! One good thing, husband brought home dinner as I guess he had gathered from my frantic phone call mid-leaky ceiling, that I wasn't going to have time to cook.
