Lilith was super excited about all of the school supplies she recently received, especially her turtle back pack which she wanted to model before breakfast. All was going well till she wanted Sooty to try it on too! She now attends pre-preschool 2 afternoons a week. She seems to like it. Daddy went with her on her first day and quietly observed. I went the second day and had children sitting on my lap and asking me to read and play with them. Lilith was fine with that till a little girl sat in my lap and tried to get me to read to her at which point Lilith tried to squeeze in my lap and make no room for the other girl. I tried to tell her that she needed to share mommies lap like she does at home with Sooty. This worked for awhile till she had had enough and took my hand and led me to a corner of the classroom. When the little girl tried to follow us, Lilith turned to her and said, rather harshly, MY MOMMY! I am sure the teacher was trying not to laugh at all of this. She did get half an afternoon off, sort of as the class assumed I was the "guest entertainment" and I have to admit that I had fun playing with the 6 toddlers and watching Lilith interact with them.
