if you thought todays douching commercials were scary..

I remember an actress telling her story, during an interview, of having an illegal abortion only to be rushed to the hospital by her boyfriend afterwards due to severe pain. She said that she tried to beg him not to make her go as she was sure they would both be arrested for getting the abortion but that he insisted he was taking her. At the hospital she was rushed into surgery and was told afterwards that the abortion "doctor" had filled her uterus with Lysol. She said that if her boyfriend had listened to her, she would have died not just lost her chance to every have any children. With abortion being a big controversy again, that story seems all the more frightening. I don't think women of my generation and certainly the ones younger than us realize just what some women and girls resorted when abortion was criminal. We have never had to worry about it or fight for a choice. I really don't think it matters weather you are against abortion or weather you feel its every womans right to have the opportunity to have a choice, I am sure no one wants to go back to the days of back alley abortions and women/girls dying or suffering needlessly from them.
