Thirty days, 2 strictures and 40 pounds gone
I am now at my 30 day mark. I had my birthday, my husbands birthday, and Easter
all in that time. I was able to tolerate no sugar added ice cream for
my birthday (just a little bit mind you) but I vomited almost
everything else I had that day, including water. So the day after my
birthday, I had my second stricture repair. Not so scary now that I am
a pro at this. Ha Ha. Will was already off work for his appointments
with the pulmonary and cardiology specialists. I am grateful to this
surgery for the weight loss and my better health, but also for the wake
up call it has given my husband about his own health. He is finally
getting his health in order. Now if I can just get him to get some
glasses, sigh. I feel so much better already, despite the 2 strictures.
At least I caught the 2nd one early. I am already wearing clothes that I haven't worn since before I was preggers.
I had on a pair of pants today that I wore on my honeymoon. My feet no
longer hurt at the end of the day and I am finally starting to have
some energy again. I am very glad that I did this. I haven't worked in
2 weeks ( I hope to pick up a shift next week ) so it will be a big
shock to my co workers when they See me again. Lilith is happy that I am
able to pick her up again with out groaning and having pain. She is
only to happy to sit and stand on my new bigger lap! I hope to take some photos in the morning but I won't post any for a few more months, till the change is more dramatic. The best thing is we can go swimming again soon!

Hello,
My name is Anna also and I live in Colorado Springs. I quickly wanted to know which procedure you had done. It is amazing that you lost so much weight, so quickly. I will be having my Lap-Band surgery next week and am quite nervous but very excited, since I need to lose about 135 pounds. I found your web-site interesting, regarding the protein shake recipes & different web-sites & books regarding WLS. Also, your daughter is very beautiful and you must be so happy. I cannot wait to one day have a child, after of course I get rid of my PCOS, which may definitely go away after I lose weight with the Lap-Band. Take great care!
Regards,
Anna Pelonis-Mills
