I am a member of a playgroup for mothers (dad's are included for some events like the dinner last night and the Superbowl party a few weeks ago)of babies 1year old and under. We get together a few times a week for play dates and events. Last night we had our second "family dinner", there were 25 of us. We decided to have this event at the "Three Margaritas" restaurant near my house. I had never been there as I had heard that it was "gringo" Mexican
food, it is but that wasn't the worst of it. They sat our group in the
BAR AREA! Remember that all of the babies are one year or less (Lilith
is 7 months) and although they found 8 high chairs for our group and
moved tables so we could all sit together, the area was so loud with
blenders and crushing of ice that the babies couldn't relax. The
waitstaff seemed to be trying their best but one waiter managed to
spill a (thankfully cold) drink all over the baby in its highchair next
to my husband. I was so thankful that it wasn't Lilith! The worst thing
about therestaurant however was the changing table in the women's restroom, it was the filthiest I have ever encountered. There was one in the men's room also which I heard was much cleaner. The food was mediocre and the restaurant was to loud and busy for babies under one. We still managed to have a good time though.
