Harvey Walden Fighting Fit, Fighting Fat

This is a very good workout video. I love it. It features Harvey Walden from VH1 Celebrity Fit Club. He isn't as loud or in your face as he is in that show which is very good. Instead, he is very matter of fact and precise. He uses a stop watch to time each exercise which at first I thought was strange but then I started thinking about some of those exercise videos where the instructor starts talking and getting on a tangent and you are dying thinking, "OMG how many of these have we done already?" You won't find your self doing this during this video. You will also know what moves are coming next with plenty of time to prepare for the change. You are expected to march between exercises so you have time between transitioning to the next exercise but you don't cool down. This video has a cheesy barracks type decor and everyone is in black or green, it is a military style workout after all. Its not glitzy or glamorous but it works. It starts with a warm up that is 8 minutes long. Then it moves into the main workout sections. There are 3 fifteen workouts. They show modifications for almost every exercise to make it harder or easier. He states you can start doing one 15 minute exercise set after the warm up and then do the cool down (6 minutes)and eventually add the two other 15 minute (each) as time and fitness levels allow. I was not able to do 2 of the 15 minute exercises without really losing form and repetitions during the second 15 minute set. This is what Harvey doesn't want. He states that you need to work up to being able to do more than one of the main workouts so this doesn't happen. Once you can maintain your form and repetitions during one 15 minute set, then you can add another one and so on. I really enjoy this video. The time really seems to pass quickly and maybe because there isn't so much talking, it doesn't seem to get stale with repeated viewing. You can expect to be doing some jumping (they show modifications for the jumping jacks for example) and push ups, etc. I really found out how weak my upper body is after the push ups. You can get this from my Amazon store in the side bar. I think it is the best one I have tried so far.
