Don't hate men because they loose weight differently than we do!





Will is less that ten pounds from goal at 7 month out! We have been working out about 3-4 times a week for 3 weeks now. I am now about 40 pounds from goal. Working out has really helped me break my last weight stall but both of us were commenting that our hunger has increased since we started working out. I am (at 9 months out) really having to limit my portions again. Certain foods (the creamy and liquidity ones like yogurt and soups), don't fill me like they did in the beginning so I am really having to enforce the protein first rule with myself. Lilith seems to enjoy the play center at the gym, most nights, last night she wanted to go home after about 30 minutes. I am actually enjoying the gym. Don't faint. First of all, it is just about the only adult time I get besides work. I also had a big perspective shift, I started thinking of it as ME time. Kinda like the long bubble baths I use to take pre Lilith. Okay I still get those once in a while but I actually prefer the gym. Our gym rents movies, has (carb laden for the most part unfortunately) pre made meals you can buy, clothing and sports equipment, and all kinds of educational as well as fitness classes. My favorite area is the cardio theater room with 10 flat screen tvs all tuned to various cable channels. You grab clean headphone covers and hop on a bike, treadmill, stairclimber, or other cardio equipment and tune it's receiver to whatever channel you are watching and 30 minutes passes in a breeze. Most of the equipment has heart rate counters that keep you in target range. I always try to work extra hard during the commercials. I hope the last 40 comes off before my year anniversary (especially before summer). Alaska has lots of outdoor activities to offer but even more family friendly activities in summer!
I just hope Will doesn't waste away before then.
